Ingebrigtsen endorses Rasmusson for State Senate
“Will provide the common-sense conservative leadership our region deserves,” says retiring state senator
Fergus Falls, Minnesota – Retiring State Senator Bill Ingebrigtsen (R-Alexandria) today announced his endorsement of State Representative Jordan Rasmusson (R-Fergus Falls) to succeed him in the state senate. Ingebrigtsen will not be running for re-election in November and is retiring at the end of his current term after a career of public service.
“Jordan is an incredibly hard worker who achieved a lot of success in his first term in the Minnesota House and will continue to provide the common-sense conservative leadership our state needs. From his strong support of pro-life and Second Amendment measures, Jordan will certainly make the folks of Senate District 8 proud. Jordan is ready to hit the ground running and get the job done for our district, so please join me in supporting Jordan Rasmusson for State Senate,” said Ingebrigtsen.
Rasmusson was elected in House District 8A in 2020 after receiving 66 percent of the vote; this strong record of success will ensure the voters of Senate District 8 send a conservative voice to St. Paul. In the House, Rasmusson serves on the House Capital Investment, Commerce, and Human Services Committees.
“I am honored to receive Bill’s endorsement and to have worked side-by-side with him on a number of key issues at the Capitol. Bill has served our communities with distinction during his decades of public service, and I value his mentorship and friendship.” Rasmusson stated.
An endorsing convention for the state senate is expected to be held in March after new legislative district maps are passed by the legislature or released by the Minnesota Judicial Branch Special Redistricting Panel on February 15.
